Research projects conducted at the URS (Unit for Research in Schizophrenia) are very costly. Public contributions and the support of the Swiss National Science Foundation are far from being sufficient to cover all the expenses, and do not allow to advance research at a steady rate and appropriate pace with regard to patients' needs. 

Private support being crucial to achieve significant results, the Alamaya Foundation is committed to raising missing funds among a variety of people and institutions of the private sector.

Among other initiatives, Alamaya has set up the Friends of the Foundation, a circle open to all persons and organizations wishing to offer repeated help in order to alleviate the suffering of patients and their families.

Any contribution is welcome and represents an important encouragement to promote research.
